At Cornerstone Builders, we strive to build a high-quality home at a reasonable price. There are two parts to building a home: our part and yours. Our part is building the home from the ground up; which involves the foundation, framing, roof, etc. Then, you take over. You choose all the custom features, roof style and color, cabinet style and color, floor coverings, countertops, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, appliances, etc.

With new home construction, you are given allowances for the items you pick. For example, you may be allowed $16,000 for floor coverings. If you go to a floor store and pick a tile that retails for $3.89 per foot, but my price is only $3.49, then you pay only $3.49. We show you a copy of the bill and the check that paid the bill.

We also have our own unique way of building custom homes in a totally honest fashion, but we’d rather not tell you here in public view. It is the secret to our success. Rather, we will be happy to meet with you and describe the process if you are interested in a Cornerstone home.


It is very important that you know exactly what is going on during the building of your home. When you have a Cornerstone home constructed, you’ll never have what we call a “train wreck.” That is, you never get to the end of construction with the surprise that your home costs more than you thought it did. You are kept informed and your home will not cost more than we agreed upon unless you upgrade your selections to higher-quality products.

Other things we will do to foster communication include taking you to meet with the cabinet makers to make sure you get the cabinets you want, going with you to the flooring store to help you as you pick floor coverings, setting up a meeting with the painter to make sure you get the colors you want, and so forth. 


At Cornerstone Builders, we take no corners that will compromise the quality of your home in order for us to make more money. Several things are standard in our homes, and we will do them unless you specifically ask us not to. 

Loyalty and Respect

Most of the subcontractors used by Cornerstone Builders in home construction have been working with us for a long time. They are loyal to us, and we are loyal to them. We do not re-bid each house with different subcontractors because we want steady crews that we can hold accountable for their work. Loyalty is a two-way street. We want people to want to be a part of the Cornerstone team and we have created that team attitude and atmosphere.

When you build a Cornerstone home, you will work with subcontractors who take pride in their work and will genuinely try to make you happy and meet your expectations.

We are convinced that how one treats others in a working environment is a true test of one’s character and values. We strive to meet a very high standard of integrity.
